Marriott Houston Medical Center

This towering hotel is located in the middle of the Texas Medical Center, a 125-acre complex that includes hospitals, nursing and medical schools, and buildings with medical offices. Enclosed skywalks link the hotel to Methodist Hospital and the Scurlock and Smith Towers, among others. The hotel also provides complimentary transportation to sites within the complex, which encompasses a two-mile radius and has 42 institutions. Rice University is across the street from the hotel, and Rice Village, an area with restaurants and nightlife, is nearby.

Wireless Internet access is available on the first three floors of the hotel, which includes the lobby, restaurants, and other public spaces (surcharge). A business center has three computers with high-speed Internet access that guests can use for a fee, and other business services are offered as well. A connecting building contains several shops and a beauty salon. Self- and valet parking is available (surcharge for both). In addition to easy access to medical facilities, the hotel offers special services to medical guests, such as a separate lounge and a video library with medical and non-medical videos.
